This story is continued from Swan Dragon part 3.
The Beautiful Swan Dragon flew away in search of a New True Love. She landed at a small lake, empty of other birds. She was beat from the long flight and decided to rest there until her intuition guided her elsewhere. Soon afterward she discovered that she was sick. Not only was she sick, but her wing feathers had taken a beating. She inspected her flying feathers. They looked a little torn and frayed. Thankfully she ended her flight when she did. Now it was time heal and recuperate.
She stepped towards the lake and peered at the water. The water level was really low. So low in fact that swimming and bathing would be difficult. But it was all she had. ‘All I have.’ With sudden irritation she evaluates her situation. No real home, barely enough water, no other swans, useless wings, sick ...and no true love. Irritation threatened to turn into devastation. ‘No.’ She thought sternly to herself. ‘I am an intelligent young swan. I will figure this out.’
‘But how do you figure out a broken heart? What-am-I-talking-about? I do not have a broken heart. Why do I like (ok love) that Swan-Duck anyway? Stop thinking about him. Okay... But really?’ She thinks for a moment. ‘Okay, I actually do know why I love him. It’s because I can feel him. I feel him inside. I feel his call...’
“I answered your Call! You dumb fuck! Do you hear me?!” She picks up a pebble off the lake bed and makes to throw it. She stops when she catches sight of it’s sparkly nature. She looks closer at it. It’s Really Pretty! Really pretty with pink, yellow and white colors. ‘Wow. I’ll keep this.’
For the next few days the Beautiful Swan collected pretty pebbles from the lake bed and piled them based on color. Whites, pinks, reds, yellows and so on. On a particularly tiring day, when her sickness had depleted her energy, she just glided through the shallow lake pondering her Destiny. She came upon a patch of seaweed. The seaweed shimmered as if it held secrets. The Beautiful Swan Dragon was curious. Her intuition told her that there was something special about this seaweed. Something within nudged her. She gathered some up in her beak and took a bite. It tasted okay. She nibbled a little more and then began to feel a little woozy. She took some of the seaweed and brought it back to her makeshift home. Then she laid down to rest. After a nap she awoke feeling - great. She didn’t feel sick at all anymore. She was still battered from her flight and the shallow lake made bathing a little difficult, but she was no longer sick. She believed the seaweed was a miracle plant. She began gathering it and heaped them into piles near her pretty pebbles. That night she slept long and restfully. She dreamt about her Destiny.
_______________
The dream began with the Handsome Swan (aka. Scholarly Duck) standing before her. He is covered in his Duck Colored paint. Except now the paint is dry and flaking everywhere. Every time he moves the dried, paint chips shower the ground beneath him. His White feathers gleam through the areas where the brown/grey/green Duck Paint has fallen off. He doesn’t seem to notice. The Beautiful Swan Dragon is crestfallen. Tears of Heartbreak fall from her Pretty Amber Eyes. He is looking at her with the air Aloofness and Self-Composure. Suddenly, he is standing upon a high Pedestal. His demeanor suggests he is The Emperor of Enlightened States of Consciousness. He takes a Deep Serene Breath (a large piece of dried paint falls from his long neck). He then takes a moment to focus the energy of his Third Eye Chakra.
He begins, “Swan Dragon. You really need to get ahold of yourself. It’s kind of pathetic, your obsession with me. I pity you, really. Seriously, look at yourself. Your preoccupation with a decade old relationship is disturbing and wholly unhealthy. Unhealthy for the both of us. It might have been a little Ego Boosting in the beginning. But now (he looks at her sternly) - your Man-i-pu-la-tion has let me see inside your character. Now that I know who you really are, there’s no need for us to maintain even a semblance of a friendship.” He keeps talking, in the longest monologue ever spoken in the history of speech. When done, he swooshes his Caked feathers as if they were Imperial Robes. He projects the image of having made his point. With the appearance of complete dignity and grace, he turns and flies away. However, the severity of his dried clotted paint, having glued several feathers together, made his flight a bit jerky. The dream shifts.
The Beautiful Swan Dragon is swimming and laughing to herself. She suddenly hears a melodious Swan Call. A Deep Male Swan Call. She looks up. Every female swan looks up. There - in the middle of the lake is the most Handsome, Masculine, and Powerful Male Swan. An Alpha Swan Dragon. He is scintillating with feathers of Rust Red. He glows as if he were created from a Blaze of FIRE! The designs that run across his head, neck, back, wings and tail shine with their own ethereal light - the colors of Black, Gold and Green. He oozes Male Energy.
He spots her. Gliding past all other female swans, he stops directly in front of her. “There you are Sweetheart.” he says, sweeps her up into his arms and gives her a Fiery Kiss! Happiness bubbles up through the Beautiful Swan Dragon. Red-Pink Love begins shinning from their hearts. The Red-Pink glow pulsates and grows until their whole bodies are encompassed in a sphere of their Eternal Love. The Fire Swan Dragon unlocks himself from the kiss. “Come, my Jewel. Let’s fly off into the Fiery Sunset!” The Beautiful Swan Dragon looks up into his shinning Black eyes with her adoring Amber ones and says, “I love you.” The dream swirls into a romance. Dancing. Holding Hands. Singing. Laughter. Flying into the Fiery Pink Sunset.
The dream changes again. He. The Handsome Swan reappears. He is without paint and is a gleaming Swan. He is saying that he is ready. He is ready to be with her. “Beautiful Swan Dragon! I accept it. I accept it within myself. I do love you. You always knew. I love you with all my heart.” He is cut off when the Alpha Swan Dragon steps in front of him. The Fire Swan Dragon looks at him with Calm Power. “This Beautiful, Amazing, and Regal Swan Dragon is my Winged Goddess and I am her Winged God.” he says. The Handsome Swan’s mouth drops open in shock. He tries to compose himself. The Beautiful Swan steps from behind the Fire Swan and stands beside him instead. The Handsome Swan looks to her. “But I have the Ring.” He says and quickly pulls out a pretty pink ring. The Fire Swan Dragon tells him, “She is already wearing my Ring.” The Fire Swan Dragon gently takes ahold of the Beautiful Swan’s wing tips. With love clearly in his eyes, the Fire Swan Dragon displays her Stunning Engagement Band - which holds a gigantic Red-Pink Jewel. The Handsome Swan is stunned. Shocked. And looks as if he’s about to faint. Or puke. Humiliation is etched onto his handsome face. The Beautiful Swan lifts her pretty amber eyes to meet the Handsome Swan’s crystal blue one’s. She gives him a gentle smile. Then both the Beautiful Swan and the Fire Swan Dragon fly into the Pink Sunset.
The dream makes a final shift. The Beautiful Swan is 60 years old. She is reminiscing over her happiness, while alone in a sparkly lake. She then becomes aware that she is not alone. Taken by surprise, she realizes that she is swimming side by side with the Old Handsome Swan. He looks at her and says, “You know, I always loved you. Even when I pretended that I didn’t.” He looks into her wise, pretty amber eyes. “I know.” she says. “Why did you pretend?” He sighs. “Because I could not be with a Black Swan. I could not be a disappointment to my family again. I could not... be that strong.” His eyes were downcast. They spent a few moments in silence. He starts up again. “My White Swan children are all grown up now. I gave my family what they wanted. If it’s not too late...we could still try again.”
“Honey?” A deep and still strong voice calls. The Beautiful Swan turns her amber eyes towards the voice. Her Husband, the Fire Swan, is there. Behind him is her entire family. Her four adult Swan Children - all various color combinations of Rust Red and Black feathers - are there. And her grandchildren, little cygnets (baby swans), were riding atop their mothers’ backs. She turns back towards the Handsome Swan and says gently, “I am happy. I am loved openly and have always been.” With a gentle smile she glides away and into the arms of her Husband. She and her family swim towards the Pink Sunset.
____________
The Beautiful Swan Dragon wakes up. She thinks over the various aspects of her dream. First a small smile spreads across her lips. Then her eyes begin to crinkle with mirth. Finally, she beams and begins to laugh. Sing! She is full of excitement. I will be Happy! I will be Loved! I will be Married! Yay!!! She knew this dream was a part of her intuition. She knew that it held her Destiny. She got up and prepared for the arrival of her Fire Swan Dragon. Her New True Love.
The End.

Remember the story of The Ugly Duckling?
Many people misinterpret this story. Many think the story is about being ugly and magically becoming beautiful. Many try to apply this inappropriate logic to their lives. Hoping beyond hope, that they will one day transform into something better than they are. They miss the true point of this story. The most important part of this story is that the ugly duckling is not a duck. It is a swan that hatched from within a duck's nest. It wasn't ugly and then turned beautiful. It was always beautiful. It wasn't a duck who then turned into a swan. It was always a swan. It just needed to realize this. Once the little swan realized that it was literally a completely different bird, all its duck problems went away. It could be itself freely. It found that it wasn’t ugly after all. It was actually beautiful the whole time! The story is about finding who you really are.
That is the point of this Blog. It's to help you realize that you are already a Beautiful Swan. In order to do that, you must first understand that You Are Not A Duck!
